A new race car got launched today, and it’s quicker than F1. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 in 1.79 seconds - that’s almost a second quicker than F1. And it’s got a top speed of over 200 mph. It’s the new Formula E Gen3 EVO car - and I just got back from its launch. It also has four-wheel drive, which is very cool and obviously helps that 0 to 60 time. And look, the Formula E Gen3 EVO is still not going to beat an F1 lap time at Spa - it doesn’t have the aerodynamics and grip for that - but it shows where Formula E is heading… The tech in Formula E cars is progressing really quickly. The Gen4 car is reportedly going to achieve 800 horsepower, which definitely puts it in the realm of F1.
