Lewis Hamilton will make a stunning switch to Ferrari for 2025 in one of F1’s biggest driver moves ever. Hamilton only signed a new two-year Mercedes deal last summer, that was meant to cover 2024 and 2025. Which is one of many reasons this is such a big surprise. But it turns out that new contract included a release clause for 2025 that Hamilton has chosen to activate before even driving the 2024 Mercedes in reality.
